Brooke Botello joined McDermott Ventures in 2004 and currently serves as Vice President of the firm.
[back]Brooke Botello joined McDermott Ventures in 2004 and currently serves as Vice President of the firm. In this capacity, she is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the business as well as managing the servicing of clients in the areas of public, community, and media relations. Some of these clients include: The Boston Globe, Mercer Human Resources Consulting, Equity Office Properties, and Equity Residential.
Prior to joining McDermott Ventures, Brooke worked in Washington D.C. for the National Mining Association, and for United States Senator Gordon H. Smith, in both his Washington D.C. office and state offices in Oregon.
Brooke has been recognized as one of 'Boston's Future Leaders' by the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce. Brooke serves on the Board of Advisors for Boston World Partnerships, a new non-profit organization, founded by Mayor Thomas M. Menino to raise global awareness of the competitive advantages that Boston offers to growing businesses. In addition Brooke serves on the Advisory Committee for IDEAS Boston and is a mentor with the Strong Women Strong Girls organization. Brooke is also a contributing writer for Color Magazine.
Brooke holds a Political Science and Communications degree from the University of Oregon.
